Hi mums, dads and kids, I am a mother of 2 teenage daughters. I have had a lifetime of experience working with and being around children. I interact comfortably with children of all ages, making them feel at ease and happy. I just love kids! I am the eldest of 4 children, so I spent many years looking after my younger siblings. When I wasn't minding my siblings, I was babysitting my younger cousins. I have spent the past 17 years looking after my own children, as well as plenty of their friends...whether it be for play-dates, sleep-overs or just simply driving them from "a to b". I also mind my 5-year-old niece quite regularly. From the time my daughters commenced pre-school, I volunteered at their schools. In their younger school years, I spent each day assisting with guided reading and literacy groups, passive play at lunch times and gross motor skills. I assisted each year with all sporting events, including swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals, and managed teams on gala days. I volunteered in the canteen and with school fundraisers. Over the years, I have driven various children around, whether it be to zone carnivals or extracurricular activities. I have always been a mum that other parents can count on whenever help is needed! I have also assisted over the years with my daughters' extracurricular activities, such as gymnastics and trampolining. Whether it be assisting the coaches, helping at competitions or simply helping to pack up the equipment after each session, I have been willing to help. I was employed casually for 3.5 years child-minding for a market research company, which provided child-minding for mothers who were participating in market research groups. My employment ceased when the 2 owners of the company retired. So, as you can see, I have spent my entire life around children. They have been such a huge part of my life. Not only have they learnt from me, I have learnt so much from them, including a whole lot of patience and tolerance! I can't wait to meet you!

Hi Families 😊 My name is Jamie. I am a Nanny and Early Childhood Professional with over 15 years of supporting children of all ages. I began my career working one on one with children having additional needs. This gave me an incredible insight into the individualality of children's learning styles and needs. My purpose and absolute joy was really getting to know them, building that trust and bond so I could then develop individual learning and development plans and adapttive supportive techniques. I then transitioned into various Preschool roles. Taking on a variety of responsibilities, from Educator, to cook when we didn't have someone for months, to 2IC, supporting the director with enrolments and overall operation of the centre.. As a long standing educator, I knew familes throughout their journey. From even before the child was conceived right through until my planning of their graduation to formal schooling. Also all their siblings which was a beautiful place to be when their siblings are in the same environment for their learning and growing journey. šŸ’— Finally, I also bring creative and engaging experience from my time in journalism, production and music. I was part of a children's game show called Challenger, inventing fun and interactive activities to engage Children's interest. The show was an opportunity to challenge their minds, their problem solving and cognitive skills, their creative thinking, and their confidence and participation. And of course having fun while doing it ! Following are my current credintials but of course always updating and upskilling Working With Childrens Check Child Protection Course NDIS Worker Check Certificate III In Early Childhood Education and Care. Advanced First Aid and CPR Bachelor in Special and Inclusive Education ( albeit only 3 years in with UNE) If you made it though all that šŸ˜… I look forward to the opportunity to support and get to know your family.

Hello! I’m Sushma, 23 years old, and I’ve been working in the childcare industry for the past 3 years. Working with children has truly become a part of who I am. Every child I meet brings something unique and beautiful, and I feel so grateful to be able to support their growth, laughter, and little adventures every day. I currently work as a childcare educator during the week, and now I’m hoping to offer my time and care to families who may need a gentle, nurturing babysitter on weekends. My passion for working with children goes beyond just a job—it’s a calling. I believe in creating a warm, safe, and joyful environment where children feel loved, heard, and free to be themselves. I love engaging with them through play, storytelling, art, and nature. I’m especially drawn to calm outdoor activities and believe in the power of nature to calm little hearts and spark big imaginations. I hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and have experience with children of all ages, from infants to older kids. Parents often describe me as kind, patient, and trustworthy. Being originally from Nepal, I bring a sense of calm, deep respect for family values, and a warm, loving nature in everything I do. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your child not just with experience, but with genuine love and attention, I would be honoured to be part of your little one weekend world

Hey! I am a qualified and caring educator with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and I hold a Working With Children Check, Police Check, First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection training.I have my own car and my provisional 2 (green) P plates Over the past few years, I have gained hands-on experience through Before and After School Care (BASC), working with children across a wide range of ages and needs. Creating environments where children feel safe, understood and like they belong. Working on identifying and maintaining clear communication, predictable routines and flexible strategies that support each child’s individual strengths and needs. I bring a deep, personal understanding of neurodiversity and additional support needs, which allows me to genuinely relate to children who experience the world a little differently. I am highly attuned to sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, communication differences, and the challenges that can come with transitions or changes in routine. This first-hand insight helps me approach care with empathy, patience, and respect, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I naturally adjust my tone, pace, and expectations to suit the child in front of me, whether that means giving extra processing time, offering choices, breaking tasks into manageable steps, or providing quiet support during big emotions. Because I understand these experiences from a first-person perspective, I am able to respond with empathy rather than urgency, helping children feel seen rather than corrected. I love doing arts and crafts, messy play, sensory play and trips to the park and on drives (we can even listen to your favourite music!). Cleanup from any activities is a certainty :)
