Hi Families 😊 My name is Jamie. I am a Nanny and Early Childhood Professional with over 15 years of supporting children of all ages. I began my career working one on one with children having additional needs. This gave me an incredible insight into the individualality of children's learning styles and needs. My purpose and absolute joy was really getting to know them, building that trust and bond so I could then develop individual learning and development plans and adapttive supportive techniques. I then transitioned into various Preschool roles. Taking on a variety of responsibilities, from Educator, to cook when we didn't have someone for months, to 2IC, supporting the director with enrolments and overall operation of the centre.. As a long standing educator, I knew familes throughout their journey. From even before the child was conceived right through until my planning of their graduation to formal schooling. Also all their siblings which was a beautiful place to be when their siblings are in the same environment for their learning and growing journey. 💗 Finally, I also bring creative and engaging experience from my time in journalism, production and music. I was part of a children's game show called Challenger, inventing fun and interactive activities to engage Children's interest. The show was an opportunity to challenge their minds, their problem solving and cognitive skills, their creative thinking, and their confidence and participation. And of course having fun while doing it ! Following are my current credintials but of course always updating and upskilling Working With Childrens Check Child Protection Course NDIS Worker Check Certificate III In Early Childhood Education and Care. Advanced First Aid and CPR Bachelor in Special and Inclusive Education ( albeit only 3 years in with UNE) If you made it though all that 😅 I look forward to the opportunity to support and get to know your family.
