Nanny | Infant & Baby | Babysitter | Family Support — rates below I provide warm, experienced, and reliable care for children from 8 weeks of age through to secondary school, tailoring my approach to each child’s individual personality, developmental stage, and family routine. My greatest passion is caring for babies and young children, creating a calm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, secure, and encouraged to thrive. I have extensive experience supporting families during those important early years, including caring for newborns from 8 weeks of age and helping several children successfully transition into childcare. Beyond childcare, I enjoy helping families keep their homes running smoothly. When appropriate, I can assist with meal preparation, children’s laundry, tidying, light household organisation, shopping, and pet care, allowing parents to come home to a settled household. I have experience supporting neurodivergent children and families and maintain a calm, patient, and consistent approach. I value respectful, evidence-based childcare, clear communication, and building trusting relationships with both children and parents. Over many years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of families across Melbourne, including medical professionals, sole parents, LGBTQ+ families, surrogacy families, high-profile households, and families navigating separation. Every family is different, and I pride myself on adapting to their individual needs. I’m a non-smoker, non-drinker, highly organised, emotionally regulated, and dependable. Families regularly describe me as calm, proactive, trustworthy, and someone who genuinely becomes a valued part of the household. Hi families! šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ My name is Orlaith and I’m a qualified primary teacher from Ireland who has recently relocated to Melbourne. I’m a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic caregiver who genuinely loves caring for children and supporting their development in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment ✨. Alongside my teaching background, I have many years of hands-on experience nannying and babysitting children of all ages, from small babies to older children. Back home in Ireland, I also worked with a professional nannying agency, which strengthened my ability to adapt quickly to different family dynamics, routines, and parenting styles while always maintaining the highest standards of care. With my background in education and childcare, I bring a calm, structured, and caring approach to every role. I understand the importance of routines, patience, and positive reinforcement in helping children feel secure, confident, and happy šŸ¤—. I’m confident caring for multiple children at once and supporting everything from feeding, nap times, and bedtime routines to homework help, school runs, and engaging play. I’m highly responsible, organised, and attentive, and I always prioritise a child’s safety and wellbeing. I love planning age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, learning, and fun — whether that’s arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, or imaginative games — while also being mindful of each child’s individual needs 🧩. Families often describe me as kind, trustworthy, and dependable. I take great pride in being someone parents can fully rely on and someone children feel comfortable, happy, and safe around. Hi, I'm Grace. I've had regular nannying/babysitting experience with children aged 0-13 over the last 14 years. I enjoy getting to know the wee ones in my care, helping them develop their interests and finding fun things for us to do together. I've recently spent time travelling, volunteering and discovering new cultures. I am now in Melbourne and available for nannying/babysitting. A highlight for me was when I worked as an au pair in Melbourne in 2016 for 6 months with 3 children (3, 2, newborn). This was both a challenging and rewarding position during which I developed a very strong bond with the children and the family while greatly increasing my childcare experience. I've worked with many different families and have experience with twins, boisterous toddlers, balancing babies with attention needing siblings, juggling more children than hands and generally having lots of fun and laughter with these wonderful little people. I have also worked in children's retail and trained in shoe fitting, so am happy to give footwear a wee once-over check anytime. My roles within different families usually involve: nursery drop-offs, supervising breakfast, lunch and dinner times, taking children to, and participating in, their clubs/classes, organising bedtimes, occupying children with various activities e.g. going to the park, playing in the garden, reading books, indoor crafting etc. If relevant to the role, I like to find places to take the children that suit their interests but also broaden their outlook and engage their attention, so am always on the look out for fun events to attend. I have also worked with babies using signs for communication and am happy to use this skill again as it was always very rewarding to watch their understanding develop. I also have a 13 year-old niece whom I adore and have spent the last year travelling the world with. My sister and niece often join me for adventures. While we travel, we worldschool using the places we visit as the classroom and the people we meet to broaden our cultural perspectives.
