āWe change the world one person at a timeā is my favourite saying.
In my life I have witnessed my siblings education get left behind, a lack of duty of care and compassion towards them simply because they have disabilities. For them, educators did not know at the time how to nurture their additional needs and help them flourish. I aspire to be someone who always adapts and understands the individual needs of each child, no two children learn the same way. I have successfully worked in childcare for 8 years, as well as had the opportunity to manage an oosh service based on my knowledge and experience.
I am a fun, caring, compassionate person and have a genuine passion to help little minds grow to their full potential. My experience in additional needs comes from my own family life, with no qualification. For 23 years I have experienced how to handle, cope, strategise and encourage my additional needs siblings every day. I understand how hard it can be for parents to watch their children be treated differently or looked at in undesirable lights because I have lived that, I am here to change that, by educating one person at a time this is an achievable goal. While I was growing up, watching where the education system let my family down, I decided I would be a change in the system. I promise that I will not give up on your child, they are what will make the world go around.
I canāt wait to see what this platform brings me and Iām looking forward to hearing from you āØ
