"Leah was wonderful with my kids. She is warm and compassionate and was very calm whilst carrying out tasks. She was very communicative and she was punctual, which I appreciated as I had an early flight. My 8 yo daughter adored her and even my 12yo son, who is convinced he no longer needs babysitting enjoyed Leah's presence. Highly recommended. "

I am a qualified primary school teacher in Ireland with a psychology degree. I have worked as a special education teacher for 2 years with pupils with a variety of special educational needs.

Childcare Experience

As a qualified primary school teacher I have a passion for working with children. As a teacher I have worked across the ages of 4-12. I have the most experience working as a special education teacher in a junior school in Ireland. I supported pupils with their literacy, numeracy, social- emotional and behavioral development. I love how rewarding working with children can be, it brings a smile to my face seeing the impact you bring to their lives everyday. I have also worked with summer camps in school settings and in sports clubs. I spent time working as an English teacher in Italy for children in performance summer camps.

Tutoring Experience

I have a tefl certificate and worked as an English tutor for Italian children in summer camps. This tutoring worked through the medium of performance and play to develop the children’s English vocabulary. Working as a special education teacher has allowed me to gain experience tailoring lessons to individual pupils to ensure their educational goals are met.
