Childcare Experience

I am a qualified and experienced secondary school teacher of History and Geography. I have 5 years experience as a full time teacher in Ireland to years 6-12. While I lived there I also coached junior girls hockey team every weekend and accompanied them to many matches home and away. I also offered private one-on-one tutoring outside school hours to many students taking exams or to those who just simply needed extra help. As well as this I am experienced in baby sitting younger children for friends and family all my life. I am currently living in Australia and working as a Teacher Aide in a secondary school. Offering help to those students with special educational needs. This affords me the opportunity to work with individuals or small groups, offering a calm and welcoming environment for students who need additional support and learning enhancement. I am a reliable, experienced and trustworthy person who loves nothing more than working with children of all ages and capabilities.

Tutoring Experience

I am a secondary school teacher. However, I do have experience working with students in years 5&6. I have taught a Year 6 class History for two years while I lived in Ireland. I have also helped family and friends children with homework on various occasions. As a qualified and experienced secondary school teacher I have 5 years full time experience working with students in Years 7-12. I have worked with students inside and outside the classroom offering additional support to those who needed it, especially in times of assessment or exams. I have also offered private tuition to students preparing for state exams. Most recently I have experience working as a Teacher Aide in Australia, working with individuals or small groups who have special educational needs or provisions.
