Hi everyone! šŸ‘‹ I'm Aoife, a 27-year-old Irish primary school teacher with a passion for working with children of all ages. I have years of experience caring for little ones—from toddlers as young as 1 year old to pre-teens up to 12 through my work as a teacher, babysitter, performing arts instructor, camp leader, and early childhood educator. I hold an Honours Degree in Education Studies and a Master’s in Primary Education. I bring warmth, patience, and lots of energy to every family I work with. Whether it’s arts and crafts, outdoor play, baking, or reading stories. I love creating a fun, safe, and caring environment where kids can truly thrive. I’m super organised, reliable, and genuinely love becoming a part of a family’s routine. āœ… Working With Children Check āœ…NESA Teaching Number āœ… Police Check āœ… First Aid Certified āœ… References available on request šŸ“ Based in Clovelly/Randwick – happy to travel to nearby suburbs. Special Needs Experience

I have experience of working in an autism class, blind preschool and in a behavioural school. Through these experiences I have completed various continuous professional development courses in order to cater for all childrens’ diverse interests, needs and abilities.

Childcare Experience

I have over 7 years of experience working with children across a wide range of roles, including babysitting, primary teaching, early childhood education, performing arts instruction, and camp leadership. Throughout this time, I’ve cared for children aged 1 to 12 years old, supporting their development in both home and educational settings. I’ve worked with toddlers just starting to explore their independence, right through to pre-teens developing confidence and curiosity. Each age brings its own joys and challenges, and I love adapting my approach to suit the individual needs and personalities of the children in my care. What I find most rewarding about childcare is the connection you build with each child, seeing their confidence grow and creating a space where they feel safe, happy, and free to be themselves. There’s nothing more fulfilling than knowing you’ve made a positive impact on a child’s day, no matter how big or small.

Tutoring Experience

I have 4 years of tutoring experience, supporting children from Kindergarten to Year 6 in English and Maths. I tailor each session to suit the child’s individual needs and learning style, helping build both skills and confidence. I also have experience helping younger students develop their fine motor skills, which are essential for early learning success, especially in handwriting and classroom tasks. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Studies and a Master’s Degree in Primary School Teaching. My academic background, paired with hands-on experience, allows me to support children across a range of learning abilities and stages. I have 4 years of formal classroom teaching experience in Ireland, working primarily with Grade 4 and 5 students. Since moving to Sydney, I’ve been casual teaching in a range of local primary schools, gaining valuable experience across various year levels and classroom settings. I’m especially passionate about teaching English, Maths, and supporting the development of fine motor skills in younger learners. I love making learning fun, engaging, and accessible — and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child have that ā€œlightbulbā€ moment when something clicks!
