Hi! I'm Lucy, a Psychology and Sociology graduate with a strong interest in child development, learning and wellbeing, and I'm hoping to specialise in child psychology in the future. I have hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and backgrounds. In summer 2023 , I worked as an au pair in France, caring full-time (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) for two 3-year-olds and a 9-month-old baby. I've also worked as a childminder for several families and have experience assisting at The Yurt, a children's yoga and wellness centre, including during summer camps. As part of my volunteering with Nurture Africa in Uganda, I spent time supporting children in school, hospital and disability settings. This experience really strengthened my patience, empathy and understanding of the different needs children can have. I'm caring, responsible, patient and reliable, and I really enjoy creating a safe, fun and positive environment where children can feel comfortable and be themselves. I'm happy to help with play, activities, routines, meals and general childcare, and I'm comfortable looking after both babies and older children

My tutoring experience in the past has mainly been with family / friends, younger, primary school children, assisting the child by introducing suited learning methods, or just as simple as guiding them through their tasks or homework, making it more fun and enjoyable
