Hi, I’m an Industrial Engineer from Colombia. I come from a large family, and from a young age I have cared for my cousins and relatives’ children, which helped me support my education. During the last two years of my university studies, I also regularly babysat and tutored my 11-year-old sister-in-law, helping her with mathematics and Spanish grammar. I’m responsible, patient, and enjoy working with children. I can provide both childcare and academic support, especially in basic maths and language learning. I love children and animals. I have two cats back in Colombia and a little kitten here, so I’m very comfortable around pets. I am currently improving my English and studying a diploma. I work from Monday to Wednesday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and I am available in the evenings after 5 pm, as well as Thursday to Sunday, when I am usually available all day.
I started caring for children at a young age, looking after my cousin’s twin boys during nights and weekends when their parents were away. I was responsible for feeding, bathing, and entertaining them. Since then, I have also cared for other relatives’ children to support my studies, and I discovered how much I enjoy working with kids. I am very patient and I love playing, teaching, and doing creative activities like drawing and painting. I also regularly cared for my younger sister-in-law, supporting her with snacks and learning activities after school.
I have tutoring experience mainly in mathematics and Spanish language support. During my last two years at university, I regularly helped a 11-year-old student with her schoolwork, focusing on basic maths, grammar, and reading comprehension in Spanish. My approach is patient and structured, adapting explanations to the child’s learning pace to make concepts easier to understand. I also combine practice exercises with real-life examples to improve confidence and engagement. I enjoy supporting children academically and helping them build strong foundations in learning.
