Hi! I have hands-on experience caring for and supporting children, including currently working as a nanny/support person for two girls. My role involves spending time with them, helping with routines and activities, providing supervision and support, and creating a safe and positive environment. I also have previous experience working in community and emergency-service settings, and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work. I hold a current Working With Children Check and First Aid certificate, have my own transport, and am reliable, patient and confident working with children.
I currently work as a nanny/support person for two children with additional needs. My role involves providing supervision, supporting daily routines, planning and participating in activities and outings, and helping them feel safe, comfortable and engaged. I also have experience following and implementing individual support plans, adapting my approach to each child’s needs, encouraging independence and supporting emotional regulation and communication. I’m patient, reliable and confident providing both practical and individualised support to children.
I don’t have formal tutoring experience, however I’m confident supporting children with basic schoolwork and foundational learning. I can help with simple maths, reading, spelling, homework and general study tasks, and I’m patient when explaining things in different ways. Through my childcare experience, I’m also used to adapting my approach to suit individual needs and helping children build confidence and independence.
