Hi families! I’m a qualified Irish primary school teacher currently living in Sydney. I moved here in January and I am really enjoying getting to know the area. I have several years of experience working with children through both teaching and coaching. I’m a fully qualified teacher with current NESA accreditation and a valid Working With Children Check. I also work as a gymnastics coach, so I’m very comfortable keeping children active, engaged and safe. I’m friendly, responsible and energetic, and I love creating a positive environment where children feel comfortable and supported. With my teaching background I’m also very happy to help with homework, reading practice or fun learning activities if needed. I’m reliable, organised and understand the importance of clear communication with parents. I’d love to support your family with babysitting, nannying or tutoring.
Yes, I have experience and training supporting children with additional needs. As part of my primary teaching degree in Ireland, I completed university training focused on supporting students with special educational needs and inclusive education practices. I also worked as a Special Educational Needs teacher in a primary school, where I supported students with a range of learning and developmental needs. In addition, I spent a summer working one-to-one with a young boy with autism, supporting him in daily activities, play, and social interaction. These experiences have helped me develop patience, understanding, and strategies to create supportive and inclusive environments where every child can feel comfortable and confident.
I have a wide range of experience working with children through both teaching and coaching. I am currently in my fourth year working as a primary school teacher, and alongside this I have been coaching gymnastics for the past 11 years. These roles have given me extensive experience supporting children’s learning, development, confidence and wellbeing in both educational and recreational settings. I’ve worked with children of many different ages and abilities and also have experience providing one-to-one support. I particularly enjoy working with children aged 2–12 years. I love this age range because children are naturally curious, energetic and developing their personalities and interests. Through my teaching and coaching experience, I’m very comfortable organising fun activities, encouraging active play, helping with homework and creating positive routines. What I find most rewarding about working with children is seeing their confidence grow and helping them learn new skills. I really enjoy building strong relationships with children and creating a safe, supportive and fun environment where they feel happy, engaged and encouraged.
I am a qualified primary school teacher currently in my fourth year of teaching. Through my work in schools, I have strong experience supporting children across a range of subjects, particularly in literacy and numeracy. I also have experience providing one-to-one tutoring, mainly in maths, where I support students by breaking concepts down in a clear and engaging way to help build their understanding and confidence. My teaching experience has helped me develop effective strategies to support different learning styles and abilities, and I enjoy creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.
