Hi I’m Ava, I’m a friendly, reliable and experienced secondary school teacher with a background in Biology, Science and Maths. I’ve always loved working with children and have experience babysitting, coaching children at summer camps and working with students of all ages. I’m patient, caring and responsible, and I really enjoy keeping children entertained, helping with homework and getting involved in activities with them, doing school runs etc. I’ve recently moved to Sydney from Ireland and I’m looking forward to meeting local families and helping out wherever I can. I’m approachable, dependable and always keen to make sure children feel comfortable and have a fun time while they’re in my care.
I have babysat for a family of 4 kids all under the age of 7 youngest being 6 months. I babysat them during the day and at night time in their home! I really enjoyed it. I have also worked with children through summer camps, coached and tutored students, and have several years of babysitting experience. I have experience with activities, homework, meals, bedtime routines and keeping children entertained. I’m very patient, responsible and caring, and I always aim to create a safe, fun and positive environment for children.
I have extensive tutoring experience in Maths, Science and Biology, having tutored many students in Dublin alongside my work as a secondary school teacher. I’ve worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, understand difficult topics and prepare for exams. I particularly enjoy helping students in the lead-up to exams, whether that’s revising key topics, working through past papers, preparing study plans or explaining concepts in a simple and engaging way. I’m also very happy to work with primary school children and support them with subjects such as Maths, English, Science and homework. I’m patient, encouraging and always adapt my approach to suit each child’s individual needs and learning style.
