Childcare Experience

I have always enjoyed spending time with children and have gained experience caring for them through both personal and informal settings. Growing up with my younger brother, I was actively involved in looking after him, which helped me develop patience, responsibility, and an understanding of children’s needs. Additionally, I have had opportunities to interact with and care for children of different ages, which has strengthened my ability to communicate with them effectively. I feel most comfortable working with children aged 3-- 10as I enjoy supporting them during their early developmental stages. I love engaging with them through storytelling, creative activities, and interactive play, as these moments help nurture their curiosity and imagination. The most rewarding part of childcare for me is building strong, trusting relationships with children and seeing them grow and develop new skills. I find great joy in creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring the world around them. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of their journey, helping them learn, gain confidence, and develop a love for discovery.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience tutoring both Mathematics and Chinese, helping students build their skills and confidence in these subjects. My passion for tutoring comes from my strong academic background and my enthusiasm for guiding students through their learning journey. I have been tutoring for some time, mainly assisting students in improving their mathematical problem-solving skills and their proficiency in the Chinese language. I enjoy making complex concepts easier to understand by using clear explanations and interactive teaching methods. As a postgraduate student in Applied Linguistics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), I have a deep understanding of language learning strategies, which helps me effectively teach Chinese to both native and non-native speakers. My academic background also enables me to create engaging lessons tailored to each student’s learning style. Although I do not have formal classroom teaching experience, my tutoring sessions have allowed me to develop essential teaching skills such as lesson planning, adapting to students’ needs, and providing constructive feedback. I am passionate about education and take great satisfaction in seeing my students improve and gain confidence in their abilities.
