Hello families, I am a reliable, nurturing and fun-loving nanny/babysitter with 5+ years of experience working with a diverse range of children of from birth to 15 years of age. I adore looking after children and developing an open and professional relationship with families. I understand that no two children are the same and that every family has their own values and expectations. I am a respectful person with a positive attitude and I am able to adapt easily to differing situations as necessary. I was completing the final year of Bachelor of Education degree prep-year 12, but have taken the rest of the year off due to lockdown. I have a strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and have gained many instructional techniques and strategies throughout my several weeks of placement in both primary and secondary schools. I would be happy to support learning at home throughout the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 situation. I have my own car which is serviced regularly and a driver’s license with excellent driving record. I also have an infant seat and a child seat if required. I can provide up to date copies of the following: - Working with Children Check, - HLTAID001 CPR and Defibrillator Certificate. -HLTAID003 Level 2 First Aid -HLTAID004 Emergency first aid response in an education and care setting. I understand the uncertainties that come with finding someone to spend any amount of time caring for your children. Since I began nannying I have met many families who I am now a point of call for when they need extra help every now and then. I can arrange for you to speak with any of these parents so that you can feel confident leaving your children in my care. Childcare Experience
I have a lot of experience caring for children of all ages, from 2 months to 15 years old. I began babysitting for family and friends when I was in high school. When I was old enough to get a job I began working for the local YMCA on weekends and after school. During my time at the YMCA I gained a lot of experience working with numerous children and families. My roles included assisting with kinder gymnastics, managing children’s birthday parties and managing children in before and after school care, as well as school holiday activities. I also worked as a lifeguard and developed important health and safety skills and knowledge. ( I can provide current accredited certificates for Childcare first aid, CPR defibrillator) During my university studies I have gained experience working in primary and secondary classrooms. English teaching is my major specialisation and I have also completed several units in mathematics. I have a lot of experience assisting children in the classroom and with homework.
