Hi, I’m Katie! I’m from Ireland and have a Level 8 degree in Early Childhood Education, with over four years’ experience working with children of all ages. I’ve spent two years in a busy baby room and another two years as a teacher’s aide supporting children on the autism spectrum. I’m caring, reliable, and creative, and I love bringing fun, learning, and a bit of adventure into everyday routines. My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing space where your little ones feel happy, supported, and excited for the day.

Special Needs Experience

I completed a 10-month online SNA training programme delivered by University College Dublin (UCD), covering five modules including inclusive education, supporting students with autism, communication & language difficulties, and primary & complex care needs. In my two years as a Special Needs Assistant in an autism-support classroom, I worked hands-on with children on the spectrum across a range of abilities—supporting individual learning plans, facilitating communication using visual supports, adapting routines and environments, collaborating with teachers and allied professionals, and helping foster inclusive, safe, and engaging spaces where each child could thrive.

Childcare Experience

I come from a big, busy family and have always been surrounded by little ones — which is what sparked my love for childcare! I went on to study Early Childhood Education for four years and have since worked in a crèche for over two years, caring for children aged six months to four years. I spent most of my time in the baby room, so I’m very confident and comfortable with infants. I’ve also worked for two years with children on the autism spectrum, supporting their learning and development. I truly love watching children grow, learn, and laugh — it’s the most rewarding part of what I do!
