Hello!! I am a 26 year old Special Needs Assistant from Dublin, Ireland. From an early age I have babysat children from the newborn stage to age 14 both inside and outside the family. I am a fun but patient and attentive carer who loves music and art and has always had a keen interest in childcare and early childhood education. From doing my transition year work experience in a crèche and Montessori to volunteering in the ‘Fast Friends’ program in the Central Remedial Clinic Dublin(CRC), it has been a consistent passion of mine to help children, especially those who just need an extra helping hand! While my initial experience in further education delved into the arts in my undergrad degree, I have recently rediscovered this passion for working with children. Before moving back to Australia this January for my second year on my Working Holiday visa, I had been working as an SNA and a teacher’s assistant in an inner-city primary school. Whilst I was at home, I also completed my level 6 SNA diploma with portobello institute and received a distinction. I am available for full time/flexible work as a childminder/nanny. I understand the necessity for utmost vigilance and thoroughness when it comes to the sensitive task of choosing someone to take care of your little ones so please do not hesitate to contact me for references, any further questions or just a general chat! I look forward to hearing from you!
I have completed a QQI level 6 diploma in Special Needs Assisting.
I have been looking after children part time for over ten years. I feel very comfortable caring for newborns and babies as I have done multiple times in the past, both with family members and non family members. My most recent work experience being in a primary school however, I was consistently caring for and working with children from the ages 7-11.
