Hi mums and dads! I’m a warm, caring, and responsible childcare professional with a strong background in child development and behaviour support. I hold a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and I’ve worked with children of all ages and abilities — from newborn babies right through to teenagers. I have experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, including ASD, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, and emotional or behavioural challenges. Most importantly, I understand that every child is unique. I take the time to get to know each child’s personality, interests, and routines so I can create a safe, calm, and fun environment where they feel secure and happy. Being the oldest of four siblings, I’ve grown up naturally taking on a caring and supportive role. I’m very comfortable with newborn care, bottle feeds, naps, and bedtime routines, as well as keeping older children engaged. I bring a calm energy into the home and aim to make things feel smooth, organised, and relaxed for both children and parents. You can expect someone who is reliable, attentive, and genuinely invested in your child’s wellbeing. I aim to be a positive, trustworthy presence in your home and someone your children feel comfortable and safe around. I’d love the opportunity to support your family 🤍
I have extensive experience supporting children and young people with additional needs across home, school, and residential settings. I’ve worked with children with ASD, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and emotional or behavioural challenges. I hold a Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis and have formal training in positive behaviour support, functional behaviour assessment (FBA), behaviour support planning, de-escalation strategies, and trauma-informed care. I’m also trained in the Hope and Healing framework and OVA (de-escalation and safety training), which means I can confidently and calmly support children during moments of distress while prioritising their dignity and emotional wellbeing. My experience includes: • Supporting children with communication difficulties and sensory needs • Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans • Teaching life skills and promoting independence • Collecting and analysing behavioural data to better understand and support a child’s needs • Working closely with parents, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams Most importantly, I approach every child with patience, empathy, and respect. I focus on building trust, understanding what motivates them, and creating an environment where they feel safe, valued, and capable. I understand how important consistency and collaboration are for families, and I always aim to work alongside parents to support their child in the best way possible.
I’ve worked with children of all ages — from newborn babies through to teenagers — across home, school, and residential settings. My experience includes supporting daily routines such as feeds, naps, school preparation, homework, playtime, and bedtime, as well as helping children build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation skills. I’ve supported children with a wide range of personalities and needs, including those who require additional emotional or developmental support. This has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating an environment where children feel safe and understood. What I find most rewarding about childcare is building genuine connections with children — seeing them grow in confidence, master a new skill, or simply feel comfortable enough to be themselves. I love being part of those small everyday moments that matter, whether it’s helping a toddler learn something new, supporting a child through a big feeling, or making an ordinary afternoon fun and engaging. For me, childcare isn’t just supervision — it’s about being a steady, positive presence in a child’s life and supporting families in a way that makes things feel easier and more supported at home.
