Hi mums and dads - I have eight years of experience working as a Special Needs Assistant at Enable Ireland Sandymount School. In this role, I supported children with conditions including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and muscular dystrophy within a classroom environment. My responsibilities included assisting with students’ personal care needs and supporting the teacher in delivering educational activities. In addition to my school-based experience, I worked privately with a family as a home care assistant / nanny for nearly three years. In this role, I provided dedicated care for a child with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, ensuring his daily needs were met in a safe and supportive environment. I have completed training in epilepsy management, manual handling, and PEG feeding. I have worked with another family as a nanny for their 4 children from 2016 - 2018.
I’ve been a babysitter since age 16 and started working in a special education school at 18. I have plenty of experience working with children of all ages
