I am mature, reliable, fun and animated. I would love to look after your children, nurturing them with the same care, understanding and encouragement that I gave to my own family. I like to provide a safe and loving environment that supports active imaginative play, creative projects and outdoor activities. I enjoy helping children with school work, costuming & theatre games, reading together and cooking, generally making activities both educational and fun. I am used to juggling work and hectic extracurricular activities with homework schedules, playtime and chores. I am also experienced in helping children with additional needs. I ran my own business, a small hospitality staffing agency, for 18 years, which allowed me to be flexible in my availability for my two children (b, g), who are now adults. Having also been a volunteer in both their schools, their sporting clubs and dance schools, my active involvement has contributed to them being confident and responsible adults who have been School Captains and community volunteers, and are now involved in sports, theatre, children’s education and childcare. I was a volunteer with a community care organisation as a medical appointment companion and as an in home visitor, and also a volunteer in a literacy program at a local primary school, until covid closed these programmes in 2020. I have my WWCC, Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Full Immunisations, and have a clean Drivers Licence. I like pets, am a non-smoker and can also speak limited conversational French. Having often worked as a waitperson in private homes, and as a private nanny since 2016, I am used to being discreet and respecting your privacy and I am happy to do light housekeeping duties. I love to travel overseas to visit family and enjoy puzzling, board games, live sketch comedy, movies, cycling and long walks. From March 2020 to March 2022, I was a fulltime carer for 2 years as a morning nanny til lunch time, with a family whose baby was 3 months old when I began with them. I still occasionally care for their children who are now 6 and 11 (2026). This is the review by Serisha. Then from March 2022 until June 2023 I cared for a toddler each morning (m-f) from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. He was 18 months old when I began. For 5 years, From 2021 to 2026, I split my week between 2 other families (2b, 2g) for after school and holiday care. I sometimes had all 4 children at the same time. To continue my involvement and relationship with the girls, I will still care for them one afternoon a week, but am now looking for a new family. I am very comfortable with babies and adore children of all ages and would be happy to care for your family while you are at work, enjoying an outing or just need support. My current availability is: Mon, Tues, Wed AM, Thurs, Fri. My rate is $40/hr
