Hello Families, I am a passionate and responsible university student studying Primary Education at ACU, I bring a warm, nurturing, and experienced approach to caring for children. I experience with newborns through to 5 year-olds, gained through supporting my family, friends, and formal placements. My childcare experience includes feeding, nappy changes, soothing unsettled babies, engaging in age appropriate play, supporting developmental milestones, and promoting a safe and hygienic environment. I’ve developed strong relationships with children through consistent, patient, and attentive care, and I’m confident in adapting to individual needs and routines. With a genuine love for working with young children and a solid understanding of early childhood development, I’m committed to creating a safe, comforting, and enriching environment for every child in my care of.
I have a younger sister who is six years younger than me. Watching her grow from a newborn into a toddler gave me early insight into child development. I paid close attention to the parenting techniques my mum used, and today, I find myself connecting those early observations with the professional knowledge I’m gaining through my studies. Understanding how children grow, learn, and respond to different strategies has deepened my desire to help guide and support them in meaningful ways. Recently, I completed my first teaching placement, where I worked with a class of Prep students over three weeks. During this time, I observed their behaviour, got to know each child as an individual, planned and delivered lessons, supported students who needed extra help, and managed classroom behaviour. It was a truly unforgettable experience. Seeing the positive impact I could make, even in such a short time, was incredibly rewarding and reaffirmed my commitment to becoming an educator. I have experience caring for infants aged newborn to 10 months, both within my family and for a close friend. This includes soothing and comforting upset babies, creating calm environments for sleep, and offering emotional support during rest times. I’ve also assisted with physical development activities, feeding (including the introduction of solids), and caring for babies when unwell. These experiences have strengthened my ability to respond attentively and compassionately to the needs of young children
