I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and have worked in schools, nurseries, and day care centres, before moving into one-to-one work with children with disabilities and complex needs. I’m originally from Derbyshire in the UK and now call Perth home. I hold a Working With Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check, giving you peace of mind that your little ones are in safe hands. Special Needs Experience
I have extensive experience working one-to-one with children with disabilities and complex needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing challenges. My background in Psychology has given me a strong understanding of child development and behaviour, and I’ve applied this in schools, nurseries, and home settings to create supportive, engaging environments. I’m trained to adapt activities to each child’s abilities and interests, use positive behaviour support strategies, and work closely with families to ensure consistency in care. I also hold both a Working With Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check, ensuring I meet the highest standards for working with vulnerable children.
Childcare Experience
I’ve been working professionally with children since 2023, caring for little ones as young as 6 months old through to school-aged children. My first role involved childcare in school, day care, and nursery settings, giving me hands-on experience with a wide range of ages and developmental stages. I then moved into one-to-one work with a non-verbal autistic child in an out-of-school setting. This role involved supporting communication, creating structured routines, and adapting activities to meet the child’s individual needs, helping them feel safe, engaged, and understood.
