Maartje - 27yrs

Hi there! My name is Maartje! Originally I am from the Netherlands, but I have been living in Australia for the last 3 years, of which 1 year in the Northern Beaches. I am based in Collaroy and have been working full-time in hospitality for the past year. I realised I miss working with children and would like to find a better work-life balance, with a mix of hospitality and nanny work. I have lots of experience with looking after children. I used to babysit a lot for neighbours in The Netherlands and have been an au-pair in Port Hedland, Perth and Freshwater. I am still in contact with all families, and try to visit them regularly. I don’t have any siblings myself, so feeling like a big sister was/is amazing! My last au-pair role included household chores, activities with the kids (e.g. reading, taking them to the library/park/playground/beach), assist with bath/bed time, make and feed them breakfast and lunch, and prepare dinner. I am a responsible, hard working, reliable and honest person. Moreover, I am patient, calm, kind, creative, and have a friendly nature. What I enjoy most about working with kids is that they teach you to enjoy the little things in life, show you it is good to be curious and have fun. Besides, they are honest, creative and playful! 😊🦋🌞 I have a driver's license, am an advanced English speaker, and do not smoke/vape. Besides, I am a social, neat and organized person who likes keeping spaces clean and tidy.
