Hi! My name is Emily and I am a first year medical student, based in Thornbury. I have over 4 years of experience in babysitting for children aged 2+, and having grown up dancing, I have also spent the past 4 years working as an assistant dance teacher where I have mentored younger students, supported behaviour management and general wellbeing, and liaised with parents. Working with children has taught me patience, responsibility and compassion and I pride myself on being reliable, friendly and enthusiastic. Some other fun facts about me: - I have two younger siblings - I have danced for 12 years and have dabbled in many styles. I am currently taking jazz, contemporary and hiphop! - I have always said I wanted to pursue paediatrics when I graduate! Since starting med school I have also become interested in psychiatry and neurology so we will see where I end up... Right now, I'm available for morning work and casual weekend babysitting. Childcare Experience

I have worked as a casual babysitter for local families for 3 years, supporting parents when they need a night off! I have loved forming meaningful connections with these kids (aged 2-12) and enjoyed facilitating fun activities with them such as crafts, imaginative play, reading etc. I also have 4 years of experience working as an assistant dance teacher at my dance school, where I assisted and mentored younger students, aged 3-13, in their classes. I loved this job because over the years, I have been able to create incredible memories with my students and watch them grow confidence and skill.
