Hi all, I’m a primary school teacher with three years of teaching experience and a strong background in childcare. Before finishing my degree, I worked as a full-time nanny for two years and have since continued supporting multiple families with school holiday and night-time care. I also spent a year working in England, where I was responsible for the care and wellbeing of up to 30 boarding students. I’m calm, organised, and caring, and I value clear communication and consistency to help children feel comfortable and supported.
I work in an independent behavioural school with students diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. I’ve completed the Berry Street Training
I’ve been caring for children for over five years across nannying, teaching, boarding supervision, and ongoing babysitting roles. My experience ranges from full-time care to school holidays and evening support, including a year in England overseeing the wellbeing of boarding students. I’m confident caring for children from early primary age through to early teens and adapting to their individual needs and routines. The most rewarding part of childcare for me is building strong, trusting connections and seeing children grow in confidence, independence, and personality over time.
I hold a Primary Education degree and am a qualified primary school teacher. I also worked as a Teacher Assistant for three years, which gave me strong experience supporting students both in the classroom and through targeted intervention programs. I have three years of formal teaching experience in primary settings, with a strong focus on teaching students to read, write, and develop core literacy and numeracy skills. In my Teacher Assistant role, I regularly worked one-to-one with students during intervention sessions, providing extra support to build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and help students reach their learning goals. I’m experienced in adapting learning to suit different abilities and helping students feel successful and supported.
