Hi everyone! I’m currently working as a nurse in Randwick and I’m looking to help local families with casual babysitting, childcare, tutoring, and general assistance. I hold a Working With Children Check, NDIS worker screening, and I’m BLS trained, with first aid and medical knowledge from both hospital and aged-care settings. I’m calm, reliable, and safety-focused, and I’m confident caring for children of all ages. I’ve done casual babysitting for family friends, and I also supervised after-school care during high school and college. I’m comfortable with bedtime routines, meal prep, homework, light housework, and keeping kids entertained in a fun, gentle way. For tutoring, I studied STEM subjects in high school and can assist with maths, science, English, and general study skills for primary and high school students. I’m friendly, patient, and very easy to communicate with. I’m happy to help with one-off bookings, evenings, weekends, and short-notice jobs. Looking forward to meeting your family!
I don’t have formal special-needs certification, but I do have experience supporting children with ADHD. I’m familiar with creating calm structure, using gentle redirection, breaking tasks down, and keeping activities engaging. Through my nursing background, I’ve also worked with individuals with cognitive and behavioural challenges, so I’m confident providing patient, supportive, and safe care tailored to each child’s needs.
I’ve helped care for children on and off over the years, mostly for cousins and family friends, including after-school supervision and occasional babysitting. While I haven’t been babysitting recently, I’m very comfortable with kids of all ages I enjoy caring for children and infants and feel confident with settling, feeding, nappy changes, following routines, and keeping them safe and calm. Through my nursing work, I bring strong skills in safety awareness, gentle handling, patience, and responding quickly to a child’s needs. I’m also familiar with supporting children with ADHD and providing a calm, structured environment when needed. What I find most rewarding is creating a warm, secure space where children feel cared for, and giving parents peace of mind knowing their baby or child is supported with patience and genuine attention.
I’ve done informal tutoring over the years, mostly helping younger kids in my area during the pandemic and supporting my younger cousin with schoolwork. I enjoy breaking things down in simple, clear ways and helping children feel more confident with their learning. I’m comfortable tutoring primary school subjects such as reading, writing, spelling, maths, and basic science. I studied STEM subjects in high school, so I’m also confident explaining foundational concepts and helping kids with homework or revision. I’m patient, encouraging, and good at keeping kids engaged, especially those who need gentle redirection or have shorter attention spans. My goal is always to make learning feel achievable and positive.
