Hello everyone! My name is Ava i’m 19 years old and a student at the university of Melbourne looking to assist any families in need whether that be tutoring for primary school aged kids (i excelled in english and humanities in high school and happy to help out with that) I’ve grown up as the eldest sister so i’m also happy to help out with babysitting as well as any odd jobs around the house :)) I love kids and have my working with children’s check as a volunteer but happy to get it for work reasons if needed :)

Childcare Experience
I have been looking after children on the odd occasion at least once every month especially to my neighbours children that were two twins who i looked after from age 2-5. I’ve also taken university classes in education where we worked with prep children to advance their creativity. Additionally I have worked with year 1 refugee students in high school to help them advance their english! Occasionally working with base level maths but mainly writing and reading.
Tutoring Experience
In primary school i always advanced in english writing and reading - so when I joined high school in year 7 i started to tutor primary school students volunteering in local schools in Geelong. As I grew I continued to do that as well as assist my sister in her studies who is 6 years younger than me. I’m currently in university studying arts specifically politics and international studies alongside creative writing which i have high distinctions in! I’m passionate about learning and have also in one of classes taught art and learnt skills to allow kids to express themselves creatively and care for them in a way that helps them learn and grow.
