Hello, I've worked with children and families as a nanny, babysitter, au pair, speech therapist and counsellor. I have a valid WWCC (for NSW, I recently moved to Melbourne). I have done First Aid training in the past but don't have current certification. I am a big believer in providing children with safe opportunities to play, learn, develop. Not just putting them in front of a screen! I am available for baby sitting. I don't have a car, so being close to public transport is helpful! Childcare Experience

I have worked with children and families in a range of roles (babysitter, nanny, au pair, speech therapist, counsellor) for over 15 years. The bulk of my experience has been with children aged 3+. I believe that some structure and routine is important (i.e., bedtime, meal times), but I also like to be flexible whenever possible, to each individual child's interests and the family's needs. I love seeing children learn and discover about the world; and believe in the importance of fostering their sense of curiosity and wonder.

Tutoring Experience

*Due to Covid-19 measures, tutoring will be via Zoom* I am a qualified speech therapist (speech pathologist), with a number of years of experience having worked both in private practice and in the public health system. I may only be available until the end of June, hence my application for tutoring roles rather than more permanent speech therapist roles. With my clinical experience and training, I have a deep understanding of the importance of speech and language, and of the foundation skills which underpin reading, spelling, and the writing of texts. I have also worked in schools, and understand that there are significant shifts in the expectations of students as they progress through the grades. As a speech therapist, I take the time to prepare prior to each session, and also plan for the following session based on each individual student. I can also work as a French tutor, depending on the level. I sat the DELF B2 exam in December 2019 and achieved 89.5%.
