Hi! My name is Kayla and I am 20 years old. I have worked at an early childhood centre for over 2 years now (since October 2023), and have looked after family friends’ children since my teenage years. I work with children as young as a few months old up to school age and I couldn’t love it more which is why I am looking at doing babysitting on the side. I have my certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with a valid Working with Children Check and am also looking at completing a diploma eventually. I’m very passionate about working with children and have been ever since I was in my early teenage years. I love seeing children happy and having fun and I love engaging with them to help them learn & grow! Childcare Experience

I have had nearly 2 years of hands-on experience in childcare. I’ve worked with children from just a few months old all the way up to school age. During this time I have developed knowledge and a strong understanding of how to care for and teach children, and I have also learned a lot about children themselves. I try to be creative with activities and playing so that I can teach children while still being fun and encouraging. Building connections and trust with children is very important to me, just as much as building those things with families.
