Hi! I'm a former preschool teacher and OSHC educator in my 3rd year of a history degree at Sydney Uni. I've just finished working for the family of a 1 year old G, and loved watching her grow from a 6 month-old into a daycare-ready kid. I also have experience as a disability support worker and pool lifeguard, but found babysitting 1 child the most fulfilling of those jobs, for how G and I were able to develop such a close family-like relationship over the consistent time and many adventures together. In my experiences working at the preschool or as an OSHC educator, it was said by some parents that I bring a gentleness and stability to the group, which was lovely feedback to hear. I also derive a genuine joy from spending time with children, and getting to see the world through their eyes for a little while. It's this delight in them, combined with the experience of risk assessment and safety which I picked up over the years as a lifeguard, which I think together stand me in good stead as a carer. (doubly vaxxed :)
