Hello families! I am a passionate Early childhood Educator who absolutely adores little ones. I am a qualified and registered Early childhood teacher in both Australia and New Zealand. I have minded, cared and guided children across the globe in Vietnam and Japan as well. I blend play based learning with mindfulness and self regulation to support confident, curious, and resilient early learners. Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy. I am interested in finding a family where I align with their values and they require my services around 4 days a week. I have extensive experience with babies 6months and up to 12 years. I look forward to hearing from you
I have been working with children for over 5 years. I supported myself through uni as a nanny for three young boys ages 5,6 and 12. I then went on to travel through South America, Central Asia and south east Asia, before landing in Vietnam, where I worked as a kindergarten teacher and English as a second language teacher for 1 year. Following this time I moved to New Zealand and after a stint in hospo began working in childcare again where I decided to undergo my post graduate in teaching (early childhood education). After four years I moved back to Australia and landed a wonderful job at kids uni an exceeding centre for a contract period of 6 months, which was perfect for me as I had arranged with a family from my previous centre in New Zealand that I would travel with them to Japan and mind there 2 children little girl 4, and boy 7 for the winter season there. After the family left Japan I stayed on and worked as an Outdoor Adventure Guide for a kids summer camp. That brings me to today where I have moved back to Australia with the intention and desire to lay roots in Wollongong. (Northern suburbs area). Ideal I find a family where our values align and they require my services 4 days a week. I love working and being with children. I love the creativity it invokes and I am genuinely so curious and have a large understanding about human development and the necessary requirements to provide a safe and nurturing environment for growth and development. Play and joy are at the forefront of this.
I have minimal tutoring experience, however, I am a qualified ECE teacher and believe I would have the patience and know how to guide children through the challenges they are facing in the academic world
