Hi Mums and Dads! My name is Aoife Quinn and I am an Irish Primary School teacher who has experience in Special Needs. For 2 and a half years, I have been teaching in Sydney in a variety of areas such a Primary, Special Educational Needs and Sports / Dance teaching. During the school holidays, I often nanny and love to be around children in both an educational setting as well as a fun, exciting environment. From the age of 15 I have been a dance teacher / choreographer whilst I was studying to become a Primary School Teacher. Outside of teaching children, I also provided children's entertainment at birthday parties and events. I look forward to working with families who invite me to help.
Whilst at university, I completed part of my Masters in Special Educational Needs and Inclusion. Having this background, I worked at a SLD school in Sydney where I was the class teacher for children from the ages of 4-17 who have Special Needs.
I have been working with children since the age of 15. My part time job from this age was a dance and gymnastic teacher whilst I studied both at High School then onto university where I completed my degree in Primary Education. During the school holidays, I often work as a nanny with a variety of ages starting at 4 months up to the age of 12. I love working with children at all ages and assisting in their intellectual development as well as their physical, emotional and social development.
I have been tutoring since I started university at the age of 18. My background is Primary therefore I can cover the range of subjects within that field in accordance to the Australian Curriculum. As well as Primary tutoring, I have provided respite for parents with Special Education Needs in accordance to the PLSP’s that are designed by their school teacher.
