Hello my name is Caolan and I am a qualified primary school teacher. I have over 6 years teaching experience and have worked with all age groups. I also work as a nanny and childminder. I have extensive experience of caring for children. I offer help with household tasks, extra curricular activities and tutoring. I tutor children who need extra support outside of school. This has included teaching English, Maths, Science etc. I have extensive qualifications and experience of special education needs. I have worked in Special Education schools and given provision to parents over Summer months. I am a professional musician and play the harp! I have been the resident musician in a 5 star hotel for over 12 years. I play at weddings, concerts and cooperate events.I offer music lessons to children/adults of all ages and abilities. I’m full of energy and love creating a fun and engaging learning environment for all. I adore all age groups of children. I am a bubbly, easygoing and kind person. Special Needs Experience
Significant experience in teaching children with SEN having worked as a Learning Support and Resource teacher whilst substituting. Worked in close collaboration with the SEN team for team teaching initiatives and in class support. During my teaching in Patrickswell N.S I have worked with children with ASD with varying functional abilities, down syndrome, mild learning difficulties and ADHD. I have also taught children who have a visual impairment and who have English as a second language. Partaken in the July Provision programme for the past two summers. I worked with children with down syndrome and on the ASD spectrum during this programme. Worked in Catherine Mc Auley school teaching music to young adults with severe learning difficulties. I am a loyal and committed teacher with over 6 years experience. I have worked as a music teacher, tutor, babysitter, nanny and special needs teacher/carer. I am a qualified primary school teacher with over 6 years experience. I have worked in 7 schools and 1 special education school. I provide private tuition to children aged 4-18. I have given leaving and junior cert tuition to over 20 students. The subjects I specialise in are English , Reading, Maths and ICT but have experience in all areas of the curriculum. I have extensive knowledge and experience in Special Education also.
