Hi mums and dads! I’m a recently graduated and qualified primary school teacher who has just moved to Newcastle all the way from Cape Town, South Africa at the beginning of 2019. I moved here to study my masters in special and inclusive education which I absolutely loved! I have over 5 years of child care experiences from working in many types of schools, babysitting, tutoring, volunteering and everything in-between. I’d be happy to meet you and help out with the kiddos where I can, please don’t hesitate to contact me for any more information :)
I have just completed my Masters of Special and Inclusive Education degree at the end of 2019 in which I have many modules that teach me about working with children with special needs.
I’ve been working with kids from ages 4-14 for over 5 years, as part of my primary school teaching degree I would spend about 4 months of the year working in school which taught me a lot. Amongst that I have also tutored and helped babysit for a number of years both in South Africa and, more recently, in Australia.
I started tutoring 4 years ago mostly with children at primary school levels. Consisting of mostly maths and English language skills tutoring, I’m proud to say that I’ve gotten amazing results from my students who have improved in a matter of weeks from weekly lessons. My aim is to make sure that every child feels capable and safe during the lessons and that I’m there to help them unlock the potential that they already have in them.
