Hi, My name is Alexia Palma and I am an 19 year old girl from the Illawarra region. I graduated from St Marys Star of the Sea College in 2020 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Wollongong. I am an Educator and Responsible Person at Peak Sports and Learning (before and after school care) and was previously involved in SCARF (tutoring program for refugee students). Childcare Experience
I am an educator at Peak Sports and Learning involving before and after school care. This has allowed me to practically apply my learning with my Bachelor of Education at the University of Wollongong. Additionally, I was involved in the SCARF program, allowing me to tutor refugee students, assisting their educational growth. I am most confident with primary aged students and can assist with care as well as educational needs.
Tutoring Experience
Within SCARF I was able to tutor refugee students, extended their abilities within their work and building upon their confidence in lacking areas. Additionally, during homework time at Peak Sports and Learning I am able to assist the children in their work, ensuring they understand and can effectively complete what is required with confidence.
