An enthusiastic, hard-working teacher and nanny who creates a nurturing environment for growth, and builds strong, positive relationships with children due to the amount of time and effort invested in them. My name is Nicole and I am a 28 year old Primary School Teacher from Ireland (5 years working in London, England). From working as a qualified Primary School Teacher for five, a nanny for two summers and a hands-on aunty of 13 nieces and nephews, I have gained valuable experience working in a variety of settings with children ranging in age from 6-months to 13-years old. I pride myself on my ability to build strong and positive relationships with both children and parents/ guardians, allowing overall better communication and opportunity for the children to develop emotionally, socially and physically. I also have an extensive knowledge of special needs including autism, ADHD and dyslexia. The health, safety and personal welfare of the children is at the forefront of my mind at all times. I would love to find work as a nanny during the week, and I can also make myself available for babysitting at the weekend from time to time. Special Needs Experience
5 years of training during my 5 years Primary School teaching- autism, ADHD, mute. Although not classed as a special need, worked with children with severe behaviour difficulties. Taught in provision- a unit in a mainstream school for predominantly autistic and mute children. Nannying for an autistic boy (from 3-5 years old)
Childcare Experience
Primary school teacher- 5-13 years old for dive years. Nannying- two summers- children varying from ages 6months, 4, 6 and 9 years old. I am very comfortable with all ages- from working with primary school aged children but also love working with early years and infants. I have 13 nieces and nephews, three of whom I lived with for 2 years. I am a very hands-on auntie and also, grew up helping my mother (a childminder) with all ages. Working with children is my passion and what I love to do!
Tutoring Experience
Tutored both online and in-person for the past five years. Mostly English and Maths tutoring, with the additional history, science and geography. Worked with a year 4, year 5, year 1 and year 2.
