Hi! I’m a caring and reliable support worker with experience in childcare and a background in criminology. I love working with kids and young people, and I’m passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and positive environments. I bring patience, playfulness, and a strong sense of responsibility to every job. Whether it’s homework help, fun activities, or day-to-day support, I’m here to help however I can!
I have hands-on experience supporting children with diverse needs through my work in childcare, including those with Autism, ADHD, and sensory sensitivities. I’m also studying criminology and criminal justice, which has deepened my understanding of neurodiversity, trauma, and the importance of inclusive, person-centred care. I’m committed to ongoing learning and am particularly interested in neurodiversity-affirming approaches, including PDA awareness and trauma-informed support strategies.
I’ve been working in childcare for over [insert timeframe – e.g. 1–2 years], supporting children across a range of ages, from toddlers to pre-teens. I feel most comfortable with children aged 3 to 12, but I’m adaptable and enjoy working with all age groups. What I find most rewarding about childcare is building trust and connection with each child — helping them feel safe, seen, and supported in their own unique way. I love being part of their growth, whether that’s through play, learning new skills, or just being a calm and consistent presence in their day. I’m especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and creating inclusive, affirming environments where they can thrive.
I’ve been tutoring for one year, mostly supporting primary and early high school students with subjects like English, reading, and the humanities. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Criminology, which has strengthened my academic writing, comprehension, and critical thinking skills. I’m especially passionate about English and the social sciences, and I love helping students feel more confident in their learning. While I don’t have formal teaching qualifications, I have a year of hands-on experience breaking down concepts in clear, supportive ways. I’m patient, encouraging, and always adapt to each student’s pace and learning style.
