Hi families! My name is Amanda. I currently volunteer as a youth leader with my local church. I was previously a childrens worker in the Riverland for a couple of years where i designed and ran programs, coordinated teams, connecting with families and worked with Children. I'm really good with kids, babies through to teenagers and young adults. Specifically i have a heart for disadvantaged kids and kids in DCP care. I am down to earth, genuine and passionate young woman who wants to support people and leave a mark on earth. I have a degree in Social Science and Human Services, also a Dual Diploma in Youth Work and Youth Justice, and Cert 3 in Disability. I was in the disability field for 5 years where i worked within some highly challanging cases. I worked closely with one family for four years supporting a young boy with autism most days a week. I believe strongly in integrity, personal development, character and i love strentching myself. I would love the opportunity to meet and chat further if you would be interested. I am looking for some work that can be flexible and fit into and around other commitments i have. I have been employed recently as a Coordinator for the local OSHC so my availabilities are outside OSHC hours - Mon to Fri Can provide transport. Working with families and communities, is something i love to do. 😊
Cert 3 disability - MAPA trained. Worked in disability field for 5 years. Experience working with intellectual disabilities, autism, peg feeding, and other related conditions.
I have cared for kids periodically over the years. Mostly my friends kids as (Aunty Amanda). Professionally i have cared for kids in various roles for roughly 8 years continuing.
I have not had any formal tutoring experience, but i can sit and support kids and young people as mentoring capacity and help support school work and other activities. I do have human services qualifications.
