Hi, my name is megan ! I’m 30 years old and a fully qualified Social Care Practitioner and Safeguarding Officer from Ireland with many years of experience working in children’s special schools and residential homes. I am currently working full time as a positive behaviour support practitioner but seeking a change so will have increased availability throughout the week . I absolutely love working with children and pride myself on creating a safe, caring, and fun environment where they can feel happy and supported. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and relaxed, knowing their children are being well looked after and that’s exactly the peace of mind I aim to give every family. With my background and experience, I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages and needs, and I bring warmth, patience, and creativity into every babysitting role. Whether it’s playtime, helping with routines, or simply being a trusted extra pair of hands, your children’s wellbeing will always come first. I also have a big family back in ireland with lots of cousins and nieces and nephews who i am lucky to be a godmother to most , so being around the magic of kids brings me a little piece of home which i love .

Childcare Experience

Perfect — here’s the warm and nurturing version including your Bachelor’s degree: ⸻ I have been caring for children for several years in both professional and personal settings. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Care, and my background is in behaviour support, where I have worked closely with children with a range of needs including ADHD, autism and developmental delays. This experience has helped me develop a calm, patient and compassionate approach to childcare. I am comfortable caring for children of all ages, particularly preschool and primary school-aged children. I love creating a safe, warm environment where children feel heard, understood and supported. I enjoy engaging in play, creative activities, outdoor time and helping with homework, while also providing gentle structure and clear, consistent boundaries. What I find most rewarding about childcare is building strong, trusting relationships and watching children grow in confidence, independence and emotional regulation. I genuinely care about the wellbeing of the children I support and aim to be a positive, steady and nurturing presence in their lives .

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Care and have worked in special schools providing educational support to children with additional needs, including ADHD, autism and developmental delays. Through this experience, I have developed a calm, patient and compassionate approach, and I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, supported and truly understood. I am comfortable caring for children of all ages, particularly preschool and primary school-aged children. I love creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel heard and valued. I enjoy engaging in play, creative activities, outdoor time and helping with homework, while also providing gentle structure and consistent boundaries. I am also very happy to support with tutoring and homework. Having worked in educational settings, I understand that every child learns differently.
