I am a 24 year old, Irish female citizen. I am a qualified primary school teacher with 2 years experience in Irish schools. I love children and watching them learn and grow and so I wish to continue to work with children in Sydney. I chose to take a career break from my school in Ireland to take some time to explore the world and work in another country. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy walking, running and going to the gym. I enjoy going for coffee, reading and doing yoga as a means to socialising with friends and meeting new people. I am a non drinker and non smoker.

Special Needs Experience
I have vast experience of working with children with ASD and ADHD. I was the main class teacher in an ASD unit in my previous school. I worked with children up to the age of 13 years old.
Childcare Experience
As I previously mentioned, I am a qualified primary school teacher with 2 years experience in Irish schools. I have experience working with children of all ages. One of these two years of teaching, I was the main teacher in an ASD class and therefore have gained much experience working with children from 4.5years to 13 years with additional need (ASD and ADHD). Prior to persuing my teaching degree, I gathered much experience babysitting children in my locality from the age of 6 months to 10 years. I am confident working with younger children, feeding, changing and bathing children, while also carrying out general house duties.
Tutoring Experience
As a Primary school teacher with 2 years experience, I have vast experience working with and tutoring children, mainly in academic subjects to include English and Maths. As part of my Bathchelor of education degree, I specialised in the area of language and literacy and therefore I am quite passionate about this area of the curriculum. Key features from this specialism include • Supporting linguistic diversity including children for whom English is an additional language (e.g. promoting home language use) • Identifying, assessing and supporting with literacy difficulties (e.g. dyslexia) using the continuum of support • Supporting children with specific/general speech and language difficulties (e.g. children with autism) • Using technology to support the development of digital literacy. I thoroughly enjoy exploring new books and genres with children and developing their love for reading also. My past tutoring experience with children 1-1 has mainly been in the children’s home or my own home. I aim to create a calm and safe space for the child where he/ she enjoys learning. I have previously provided support to children in the areas of English and Maths.
