Hi parents and guardians! I’ve been babysitting for over five years now for a range of families, long and short term. I love kids of all ages and enjoy working to ensure the needs of both parents and children are met.
In 2018 I partook in the Sony Foundation’s Children’s Camp in which we received training on caring for special needs children and volunteered to be carers for a few days and nights. In addition I have spent the last five years regularly babysitting two boys - one of which is special needs.
In the 5 years I have been looking after children professionally - and several more minding cousins and nieces - I’ve worked with a wide range of ages but in general I’m most experienced with kids within the range of 18 months to 12 years. That said, I have and can work outside of that. I really enjoy taking care of children as it allows me to have a positive impact on growing lives and to provide parents/guardians with respite in whatever form they require. Additionally, the imaginations of kids always brings me joy.
I’ve been tutoring predominately English for several years. I’m a huge fan of reading and writing - and was all throughout school. In Year 12 I received the subject award for Media and completed both English and Literature with high scores. Now at the University of Melbourne under the Fine Arts faculty at the Victorian College of the Arts I am in my final year of Film and Television. The course requires a large focus on screenwriting.
