Hello! My name is Marina, I am 22 years old and from Aotearoa/New Zealand. I am warm and friendly, I have a degree in theatre so am very creative and entertaining! I have 3 years of childcare experience and have learnt how to adapt to every families specific way of doing things. I believe I strike a balance between being a fun and proactive carer, while also being mature and always keeping the safety of your child top priority. I’ve also got experience in private home cleaning, so am not afraid to tackle difficult jobs! Childcare Experience
I began childcare in 2017, volunteering at the local daycare after school. In 2019 I began nannying while studying Theatre at University in Wellington NZ. I cared for 3 children aged 7, 10 and 12 years afterschool 5 days a week. I was with this family for 2 years and was responsible for school pick ups, after school snacks, transport and supervision of activities such as gymnastics and swimming, and occasional household tasks such as laundry and preparing dinner. In 2021 I began nannying for two families, ages 1.5 years, 4 years and the other family with a 5 year old. These roles mainly consisted of daytime care, food preparation, activities such as going to the park, organising engaging and educational games at home, and walking to school for pick ups/drop offs. I loved these roles, and only left when moving to Australia. I developed a close connection with every child I cared for, and a great relationship with the parents!
