Hi mummies and daddies, I am a friendly and experienced carer from Singapore, fluent in English (first language), Mandarin and basic French. I am passionate about combining positive psychology with early childhood education to give children the best start to their lives, integrating kindness, resilience, positivity and curiosity in my approach. I have a valid WWCC, full working rights and NSW drivers license, current First Aid + Cpr in childcare (renewed every year from my full time work). I've been living in Bondi with my French-Australian partner for 5 years. Studying for my Cert III in early childhood education and care, have been working full time in several early childhood centres and babysitting around Bondi and Eastern suburbs since 2019. Completed my postgraduate diplomas in Applied Positive Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling, with a permanent family visa (no restrictions on work). WWCC + police background check cleared. I am happy to help out with cleaning, feeding, entertaining, homework, reading, song and dance, some housework during downtime and more :) I have almost 20 years of paid/volunteer experience in babysitting, private tutoring and storytelling, as well as afterschool playgroups/childcare, children's events and activities, adventure camp counsellor, children's ministry/ sunday school and more! At present, I am working full-time in an early childhood centre and doing regular babysitting in Bondi and Eastern suburbs as well as tutoring academic subjects. Studying for my Cert III in early childhood. I'm interested in casual or regular babysitting work preferably on weekends. Blackout dates for 2024: Jul to Oct I volunteered regularly on a weekly basis at Hop and Bob at Bondi Anglican Church from 2019-2021 (until I started full time work). It's a song and dance session for mums and bubs, open to the public. I'm great with song and dance. I also love reading, art and craft and doing all sorts of educational or sensory activity with children. If you've got animals at home, I'm also great with animal tasks, with many years of experience of keeping more than 10 species of animals of my own. At present, I live with my French-Australian partner in North Bondi. I'm employed full time in an early childhood centre in the eastern suburbs. Childcare Experience
I am passionate about combining positive psychology with early childhood education to give children the best start to their lives, integrating kindness, resilience, positivity and curiosity in my approach. I have been working with children in Australia since 2019. At present, I am employed full time in an early childhood centre in the Eastern suburbs. Available for regular/casual babysitting on weekends or weeknights (6pm onwards). I love engaging with children and encouraging their curiosity, creativity, excitement, positivity, active minds and bodies. Besides children, I am also very passionate about sports and exercising, healthy living, nature and outdoors, animals and wildlife, art and handicraft and the beach, just to name a few. I am happy to help out with cleaning, feeding, entertaining, homework, reading, song and dance, some housework during downtime and more :) I started volunteering in children's events, as well as relatives' and neighbours' homes from the age of 10, with paid work starting from 18. My volunteering experiences include children's ministry, sunday school, storytelling, counselling, church camps and helping out with food preparation, feeding, changing, showering, playground supervision, schoolwork and more. My paid experience includes several of the above, as well as working as an early childhood educator (Bondi and Eastern suburbs), tutoring (ages 5 to 16, including assisting with schoolwork), baby/child-sitting (0 to 12+), school and adventure camp counsellor, children's event and activity host and more. You can definitely leave your child(ren) with me with absolute peace of mind when you are out at work, attending events, running errands, or simply need an extra pair of hands around!
Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring for over 12 years. At present, I have local Australian students as well as international students from Singapore and China. I am passionate in education and combining that with instilling positive and resilient mindsets in young children and teenagers. I am a certified Master Practitioner in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and have completed my postgraduate diplomas in Applied Positive Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling. I teach English, ESL, Math, Geography and Chinese at various academic levels.
