Hello mums and dads! My name is Luisa, and I am located in the Bayside area, St Kilda East, precisely. I have a Latin American background, and I am a native Spanish speaker. I consider myself a woman with moral and ethical values defined; moreover, I still have some of those important aspects we had when we were kids, such as a young and funny spirit, a creative and easy-going personality, and a great understanding and empathy towards people, especially the little ones. A little bit about my story working with families here in Melbourne: I have worked in both permanent-nanny and casual-babysitting roles, helping parents with their children’s needs and routines. My support covers in-home care, and/or morning routines, school drop/off and pickup, transportation to extracurricular classes, and night routines. I have had the fortune to work with families of only 3 members and up to 7, mum, dad, 3 children and their pets! Right now, I am looking for a part-time or full-time position, a job that is ongoing and reliable, which I, of course, am committed to delivering. I hope you found this information special, and if so, please reach out if you are in search of a new helper!
My experience looking after children started about 10 years ago when my nephew was born, and I was out on duty from day one! My sister allowed me to take care of him after his first few months of life. Then, his little sister was born and I had the same chances to look after her. Since then, I've been part of their upbringing: picking them up from childcare and school, spending time together after their studies, escorting them to parties and events and evenings when their parents were out. When moved to Australia, my first job was supervising kids at an amusements company that creates events such as fairs and carnivals. Then, I had my first experience as a live-in, which was since the beginning of 2021 till the end of February 2022. Here I looked after one beautiful girl of two and a half yo, from breakfast till late afternoon. During my time with her, I also worked as a Spanish teaching assistant. At the beginning of this, I babysit with three families, all located in this area. With one of them, I was looking after 3 siblings aged 4,6 and 9; with the second one, I was looking for two kids aged 9 and 13 and with the last family, I was looking for 2 siblings aged 4 and 7... these last ones with after-school care. Occasionally I used to take care once or twice per week of a little girl, according to her parent's needs in the afternoon or at night time. What we do is play a bit before dinner, then we had a refreshing bath, clean her teeth; then we head to bed and read some stories together before she falls asleep.
