Hi there! I'm Nat and I'm Irish. I recently earned my Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (an evidence-based approach to understanding and changing children's behaviour using appropriate strategies and techniques). I have been caring for children for 8 years as a babysitter and have completed multiple placements in education and communication-based settings. I have a lot of experience working with infants, toddlers, and children, and have spent the last 4 years babysitting a 6-year-old boy on the Autism spectrum, and his younger brother. I love working alongside children and I approach each child as an individual who I have the opportunity to learn from and help reach their full potential.
I obtained a First Class Honours Degree in a 2-year Master's in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Throughout my studies, I completed placements in education and communication-based settings working with children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. I worked alongside children aged between 4 and 6 while on placement with the aim of increasing their communication and independent living skills (including toilet training). I worked closely alongside a board-certified behaviour analyst who supervised all my work while on placement.
I have been looking after children ranging in age from 1 to 13 for 8 years now and have complete confidence in my abilities to care for children of all ages. When I am fortunate enough to meet children and their families, I treat them with the utmost respect and care that they deserve. Previous experience has taught me the importance of compassion and patience and has led me to pursue a career working with children of all ages and abilities. I find childcare extremely rewarding as I have the opportunity to help children reach their full potential while they also help me reach mine.
