Hi there, I am hoping to be able to help a family out with some after school/evening care. I’m originally from the UK, but have come over to explore some of Australia, basing myself in Sydney until the end of May/beginning of June when I hope to return to NZ. I’m an active person who loves swimming, getting outdoors and exploring. I enjoy travelling, learning about new cultures and sharing experiences with people both young and old. At present I am trying to learn Spanish, as well as dedicating more time to reading. I also have an interest in music and the arts, so trying to make the most of what Sydney has to offer! I’m a friendly, caring and responsible person who hopes to be able to offer you some assistance!
I have previous experience looking after young children, from different cultures and assisting their families with various housekeeping tasks and errands. This included things such as dropping and picking children up from school/activities, cooking dinners, changing nappies, babysitting when parents went out and cleaning rooms. I also have experience working with older children between the ages of 16-18, having been a mentor with the National Citizen Service back in the UK. My background in healthcare, working as a caregiver and support worker in New Zealand has provided me with the opportunity to work with people living with disabilities or mental health issues. I am conscious of creating a safe and supportive environment for those I am looking after, whilst offering fun and enthusiasm!
