Hi families, I am a qualified primary school teacher from England and I have over 17 years of childcare experience, in a range of different settings. I’ve been nannying and doing casual teaching since being in Sydney, but due to a change in my current family’s timetable, I will be available for nannying and/ or tutoring from February (flexible with dates). I am only available for nannying on a Tuesday and/or Thursday. I am available for tutor after 4pm on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday- with some flexibility! I am a fun, organised, nurturing and caring person with a mixture of different skills. Please send me a message if you would like to know more!

Special Needs Experience
I have taught in primary schools for 8 years, where I completed training on a range of different special needs, including but not limited to autism, visual impairment, dyslexia and dyscalculia. I have also taught children with a variety of different needs, giving me a good understanding of the support and strategies used for different individuals. Prior to being a teacher, I was a carer where I looked after people with different disabilities. These skills are therefore transferable and useful when looking after a child with any additional needs.
Childcare Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 15 years, ranging from teaching, nannying, managing holiday camps and tutoring. I enjoy working in a variety of different settings and hope to get a part time nannying or tutoring role so that I can continue casual teaching as well. Over the past two years, I have nannied a babies, toddlers and children up to an 8 years old. I am happy being with children of all ages and have experience with babies to teenagers.
Tutoring Experience
I tutored for 4 years in England, teaching children from year 1 to year 5. I am happy teaching different subjects and different ages. I like to use practical, hands on teaching styles to help children master the basics and I believe I have a patient, supportive teaching style that allows a child to feel confident and comfortable in my company.
