Hello Mums & Dads! I grew up in the countryside of North Wales & have recently moved to Sydney! I come from a big family & have done babysitting (children of all ages) for family & friends since the age of 15. I have worked in a children’s summer camp in America, as a hiking and camping instructor for 5 months. More recently I have been living in Monaco for the last 10 months, prior to arriving in Sydney, being a Nanny for a little boy, I was with the family from when he was 2 months and finished just after he turned 1, so I am comfortable and confident in looking after all ages of children. Childcare Experience
I have done regular babysitting jobs for family, friends and other people of my local community in Wales since I was 15. For 3 years I regularly looked after a family of 3 girls (started aged 4, 6, and 8) and another family with 3 boys (started aged 5, 7 and 12). I would pick them up from school on 2 different days them have them on either a Saturday or Sunday all day- the days included taking them to sports classes & playing with them outside & in, to helping with homework & sorting out everything before bedtime. I also did casual babysitting whilst at university for 3 years. I also spent 5 months working for children's summer camp in America! My role as a hiking and camping instructor included taking groups of 15 children (between the ages of 8-15) into the outdoors, teaching them how to navigate using a map, set up tents and how to cook safety outdoors. We did lake swimming, and tree climbing, sang lots of songs and played lots of games whilst on these trips! Here I became qualified in Wilderness First Aid & took a course on allergies & how to spot the symptoms! More recently, I spent the last 10 months nannying in Monaco. I was taking care of a baby boy from aged 2 months and left to come to Sydney just after he turned 1. So I am super familiar, comfortable and confident with nappy changing, bottle and solids feeding, playtime & development stages, sleep soothing & everything in between. As mentioned previously, I am also qualified in first aid.
