Hello! I studied psychology and education at University in the USA. After graduation, I taught special education for 4 years in Boston. I then moved abroad to teach Maths at the primary level to English…
I have been a teacher for the last 7 years. I began my teaching career in the United States as an English and Math tutor for children in grades 6-8 in a low-income urban school. During this time, I was an assistant to the grade 8 Biology teacher. After that, I received my teacher certification and became a special education teacher– working with students with disabilities. During this time, I worked along side grade 6-8 mathmatics, science, English, and history teachers. Part of my job included tracking students’ progress and creating tutorials for students with various disabilities (learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism, neurological impairments, developmental delays and physical impairments). I learned how to teach various subjects so that all different types of learners could understand the material. Prior to moving to Australia I taught mathematics in Thailand to students in grades 4-6. I also tutored Chinese children ages 3-13 in English over the internet. I would love to share my skills as a teacher to help your child better understand.
