Hello, I am from the North West of England and I am currently on a working holiday Visa. I have a passion for working with children both formally and informally. I have a degree in Primary Education, so have experience working with a range of children ages 5-11 within a school environment. Moreover, from September 2023-January 2024 I was enrolled to a Supply Teaching agency working as a 1-1 TA for long placements. I also worked the previous summer holidays working in a holiday club primarily for children with Special Educational Needs (Autism, ADD, and ADHD). If you feel like I would suit your family needs, I’d be more than happy to chat and look forward to hearing back!
I have been working with children on and off alongside my studying for 8 years. I knew from a young age working with children was something I had a passion for and found exciting and rewarding. I began volunteering with Boy Scouts (ages 5-7) when I was 14. I chose to study Child Development when I was 16 which was the study of children age 0-5 so have a good understanding of children of this age. When I was studying my A-Levels I tutored younger children who were preparing for their GCSE’s (the children were 15/16). I then later went on to University to study Primary Education where I gained my QTS the status to be able to teach in England. Although I feel comfortable to work with children of all ages I feel most equipped to work with children 2 and onwards.
I tutored children ages 15/16 when I was 17 within my school with the help of teachers. I have had work experience in schools from 2017-2019 before I studied Primary Education (5-11) with QTS at university. I have an excellent knowledge of the core subjects maths, science and English including phonics, and I am confident to tutor art, design technology, georgraphy, history, PE, basic French, and German and music. My teaching experience spans across my three years at university where I had placements in Year 2, 4 and 6, I demonstrated my skills by leading the art and geography subjects for a term in a school and had excellent feedback. Since qualifying, I enrolled to a supply agency where I was assigned a 3 month placement working 1-1 with a Year 3 child with ADHD and other behavioural needs, followed by a teaching assistant role for a month in a Year 4 classroom.
