Hello Parents/ Guardians, My name is Ailish Carr, I’m a primary school teacher who has recently moved from Galway, Ireland to Sydney. With over six years of hands-on experience working with children, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to babysitting and tutoring. Starting at 17, I’ve held various roles, from Kids Club Coordinator to Summer Camp Leader, all of which have enriched my ability to connect with and engage children in meaningful ways. I hold a Master's in Education and have taught in schools across Ireland for more than three years, giving me a deep understanding of educational best practices and the unique needs of each child. Additionally, I have a degree in Psychology, with a focus on Child Psychology and the Psychology of Learning. I love sports, outdoor activities and interactive games.
I have had the privilege of working with children aged 4 and up in a variety of settings. As a sports coach, I’ve led teams, fostering teamwork, confidence, and physical development. As a teacher, I’ve guided students through their academic journey, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and creating a supportive learning environment. Additionally, as a Kids Club Coordinator, I organized and led engaging activities that promoted social skills, creativity, and fun, all while ensuring a safe and positive experience for every child. My diverse experience allows me to connect with children on multiple levels, supporting both their personal and academic growth.
For the past two years, I have worked as a private tutor, providing one-on-one English and Maths tutoring to multiple students in a home setting.
